1. Replace every placeholder number
All phone numbers, text numbers and handles on this template are placeholders (000 000 0000). Never publish them. Replace them in these places:
Help bar (top of every page): select it in the Main layout template and edit Call link, Text link and Chat link in the right panel.
CMS › Channels: Number or handle, Number label, Hours and Link for Call, Text, Chat and Email. The Get help page reads from here.
Home hero: the Call, Text and Chat buttons and the “Your helpline number” line.
Home “Ways to reach us” cards, the Navigation drawer and the Footer component (buttons and Reach us column).
Links use tel:, sms: and mailto:, for example tel:0000000000 or sms:000000.
2. Set up Quick exit
Quick exit replaces this site with a neutral page using location.replace, so the back button doesn’t return here. Pressing Esc twice does the same.
Select the Help bar in the Main layout template and set Exit URL to a neutral site (the default is a weather search).
Turn Esc twice exits off if you don’t want the keyboard shortcut.
Consider adding a short note on your Get help page about clearing browser history or using a private window.
3. Emergency line
The line “If you’re in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.” appears in the help bar, hero, footer and help boxes. Keep it visible. You can add your country’s number in the Help bar’s Emergency text.
4. Donations
The Donate page buttons link to https://example.org/donate. Replace this with your donation platform link (select each button and change Link).
5. Content and photos
Resources and FAQs live in the CMS. Swap photos by selecting an image and choosing Replace. Photos are illustrative and should never be presented as people who used your service.
Don’t add statistics, outcomes or quotes unless they are real and you have permission to use them.
6. Motion and accessibility
Layers named “Motion …” animate gently. Visitors who ask their device for reduced motion see them still: the Help bar adds this rule, and the site setting respects reduced motion.
The Help bar also adds a visible keyboard focus ring site-wide (Focus ring colour). Keep text contrast at WCAG AA if you change colours in Assets › Colors.
7. Forms
The Volunteer and Contact forms send to Framer’s form inbox by default. Connect your own destination in each form’s settings. Ask only for what you need.
